In the Vitsebsk region, freelance journalist Zmitser Lupach was tried in three district courts in one day. As a result, all three courts found the journalist guilty of violating the Law on Mass Media according to Part 2 of Article 22.9 of the Code of Administrative Offences for cooperation with a foreign media outlet without accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The judge of the Pastavy District Court fined Lupach 30 basic amounts (BYN 870). The judge of the Hlybokaye District Court fined him 45 basic amounts (BYN 1,305). The judge of the Sharkawshchyna District Court, in her turn, fined the journalist 30 basic amounts (BYN 870).
