On May 30, the judges of the judicial college on civil cases of the North-Kazakhstan Regional Court did not allow the journalist of Telegram channel Adal Sot Zinaida Protsenko and blogger Arman Akylbekov as listeners at the open court session of the court when considering the appeal of M. Nistoliy to blogger Nikolay Nikolayenko. Some of the participants of the trial were in the courtroom, and some connected via Zoom. However, the journalists were denied access, despite the fact that Zinaida Protsenko was in another city. Following the journalists’ complaint, the court held a meeting and explanatory work with the judges, where it pointed out the compliance with the requirements of the law on open court proceedings in all court instances.
