On 14 November, Narek Grigoryan, a member of the ruling parliamentary faction Civil Contract, filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against Zhoghovurd Newspaper Editorial Office LLC, demanding a retraction of information damaging to his honour and dignity, as well as monetary compensation for defamation. The grounds for the lawsuit were an article published on 16 October on the website Armlur.am, owned by the said LLC, in which the editorial board reiterated previously disseminated information alleging that Narek Grigoryan had at one time evaded military service through self-inflicted injury, later engaged in fishing, and now, as a deputy, boasts and spreads falsehoods. The case is currently under consideration.
