On February 14, journalist and blogger Zhenis Kuspan was summoned for questioning at the Nur-Sultan District Police Department as a witness with the right to defence in a pre-trial investigation under the article on dissemination of knowingly false information. As the journalist expected, the reason was his post on Facebook, where the journalist warns about fake information. During the interrogation, the journalist refused to answer questions without a lawyer and refused to sign an undertaking of non-disclosure of the pre-trial investigation data. During the interrogation, the police wanted to take away the phone from Kuspan, but he demanded that the equipment be seized with witnesses and the seizure documented. This was done.
