In Chuvashia, journalists and bloggers were detained during rallies supporting Alexei Navalny on January 23 and 31. On January 23, blogger Yuri Shakeev was detained and taken to the police department. On February 12, the Lenin District Court examined the administrative protocol for participation in the uncoordinated action against Shakeev and assigned the blogger 30 hours of mandatory work.
