Unknown persons threatened a journalist with reprisals because of articles about the sale of counterfeit money. After the news was published, the person hiding under the Telegram nickname @FalshSom sent a personal message to the correspondent: «We are already looking for you, look around, you don't have long to live». In response, Kopytin published an official statement to the Ministry of Internal Affairs on his Facebook page. He asked to check and identify an anonymous person and bring him to justice. Article about counterfeiters was published on February 23, 2022, after a reader contacted the media and wrote that unknown people in the Telegram messenger offered Kyrgyzstani people to buy fake soms and dollars.
