BelaPAN journalists were detained in the hotel room when they were filming a street protest from the window of their room. They were taken to the police department, where they were drawn up reports for participation in an unauthorised event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). They were held for about 10 hours and released late at night. On November 19, the court found Yuliya Kotskaya guilty based on the police report and arrested her for eight days.
