The Butyrsky District Court in Moscow has fined former Open Media editor-in-chief Yulia Yarosh 300,000 rubles (€3,140) for failing to submit three mandatory reports required of individuals labeled as “foreign agents” (Article 19.34, Part 2 of the Administrative Code). Additionally, the court imposed a 900,000 ruble (€9,420) fine on LLC Glavny Redaktor 2021, a company linked to Yarosh, under a similar administrative violation. Yarosh, who previously served as deputy editor-in-chief at RBC from 2014 to 2016 before heading Open Media, was designated a “foreign agent” in July 2021.
