The Moscow Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against journalist Yulia Taratuta for evading her duties as a “foreign agent” (part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code). According to the investigation, she failed to provide the Ministry of Justice with information required by the legislation on “foreign agents.” Taratuta was included in the register of “foreign agents” in December 2022 and has been brought to administrative responsibility in absentia at least twice.
