Journalist Yulia Starostina was charged with «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Starostina does not know what exactly caused the case — she learnt about it from the website of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. Starostina worked for the media outlets Proekt and The Bell, and after the start of the war, she collected items for Ukrainian refugees in Russia via social networks and then took them to refugee accommodation centres.
