The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has imposed fines of 20,000 roubles (EUR 220) each on political strategist Dmitry Kiseyev and Kommersant journalist Bozhena Ivanova over a solo picket outside the State Duma. Both were found guilty under the article on violating the procedure for participation in a public event (Part 5, Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences). Kiseyev was detained just minutes after the start of the protest. At the same time, police also detained RusNews reporters Yulia Petrova and Konstantin Zharov, as well as Kommersant journalist Bozhena Ivanova, who were covering the solo picket. Yulia Petrova, RusNews journalist, also received 20’000 rouble fine (EUR 220) for the illegal participation in a protest. Zharov's trail has been postponed due to the worsening of his health condition.
