The Leninsky District Court of Mogilev has recognised the YouTube channel “Belarus live” (identifier: youtube.com/@Belarus_live) as extremist information material. The channel has more than 37,000 subscribers and presents itself as a retransmitter of news from Belarus and the post-Soviet space. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
