On 1 March 2022, the Live TV cameraman Yevheniy Sakun was killed during a missile attack in Kyiv. The cameraman was identified by the National Police on the basis of to his union membership card. Later in the day, Live TV confirmed the information, and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) expressed its condolences to the family.
