The Gagarinsky District Court in Moscow has fined photographer Evgeny Feldman 5,000 roubles (approximately €42) under legislation concerning involvement with an “undesirable organisation” (Article 20.33 of the Administrative Offences Code). The charge stemmed from a video in which Feldman discussed photographers working in wartime. Feldman has lived outside Russia since January 2022. He has worked as a journalist for Meduza since 2021; in 2023, Russia’s Prosecutor General declared Meduza an “undesirable organisation.”
