Yevgeny Erlich received an Apple alert on his iPhone with a Latvian SIM card about a hacking attempt by «state-sponsored attackers». The general director of Novaya Gazeta Europe Maria Yepifanova and the correspondent of Novaya Gazeta Baltia Yevgeny Pavlov, who also live in Latvia, received the same alert. As in the case of the hacking of the iPhone of Meduza publisher Galina Timchenko, the spy programme Pegasus was probably used.
