The Vologda City Court has arrested in absentia former editor-in-chief of SOTAvision and ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Vologda Yevgeny Domozhirov in the case of «military fakes» (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The criminal case against Domozhirov was initiated on December 1, 2022. The reason for the case were publications in the politician’s personal Telegram channel criticising the war and the Russian authorities. The investigation considers Domozhirov’s claims about the deaths of Ukrainian civilians, torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war, and destruction of infrastructure as «false». On December 28, his flat in Vologda was searched. On February 13, the investigator in the case issued a compulsory arrest for Domozhirov’s mother. She was in the flat of the activist during the search in the case of «fakes».
