Journalist Yevgeny Chekunov, together with other activists, has been fighting for the environment in Sursk, Gorodishchensky district, for several years. For two weeks, the inhabitants of Sursk smell the persistent smell of distillery waste. The journalist decided to check whether distillery waste pumping from the enterprise really began, but he never got to the place of the alleged waste disposal – he was met by the employees of the waste treatment facilities. They started pushing him and threatening him with beating.
