The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg has declined to extend the period of house arrest for Yevgeny Anisimov, the author of the YouTube channel Beautiful Russia, in a case concerning incitement of hatred using an official position (Article 282, Part 2(b) of the Criminal Code). Anisimov is now under travel restrictions. It is unclear exactly when the preventive measure was changed for Anisimov. The journalist was detained in February 2025 in connection with the incitement-of-hatred case. He was initially remanded in custody, but in April 2025 the court changed the preventive measure to house arrest.
