Former journalist of Novaya Gazeta Yelena Kostyuchenko survived poisoning in Germany in October 2022 when she travelled to Munich to submit documents to the Ukrainian consulate for a new business trip to Ukraine. She felt the first signs of poisoning half a day after she arrived in Munich on an overnight train on the morning of October 18, then she got worse.
