The Vasileostrovsky District Court in St. Petersburg has fined Yegor Bakhvalov, former editor-in-chief of the online outlet Golos Regionov (“Voice of the Regions”), 4,000 roubles for “abuse of media freedom” (Article 13.15, Part 2.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). The fine was imposed over a July article in Voice of the Regions that mentioned Mikhail Khodorkovsky without identifying him as a “foreign agent.”
