The Chairman of the Slonim District Court Aliaksandr Yermolik fined the owner of the website gs.by Yauhen Volodashchuk 90 basic amounts (BYN 2,610) on the basis of Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences (distribution of information products included in the national list of extremist materials). During the trial, two reports were considered: in relation to the private unitary enterprise Editorial office of the newspaper Gazeta Slonimskaya and the owner of the website gs.by. The administrative case against the newspaper and the website was initiated on the basis of the reports drawn up for the publication on the website on June 23, 2020, of the materials of the Internet resource, which in October 2020 the authorities declared extremist. As a result, the court stopped the case against Editorial office of the newspaper Gazeta Slonimskaya, and Volodashchuk, as the owner of the website, received a fine.
