The Ostankinsky inter-district department of the Moscow office of the Investigative Committee has opened a case of «fakes» about the army (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolovska, a participant of propaganda shows on the Russia-1 and Channel One. The Investigative Committee believes that from March to May 2022, Sokolovska published «knowingly false information» in her Telegram channel about the actions of the Russian military against civilians in Ukraine. She faces 5 to 10 years in prison. Sokolovska left Russia for Europe no later than February 2023. Telegram channel Mash published footage of the search in her flat. In the video, masked law enforcers show large sums of money in euros and dollars, as well as a medal to the diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
