Founder of the magazine of young Belarusian art Masquerade Yana Tsehla was sentenced by the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk to two years of imprisonment without being sent to a correctional institution (so-called «home chemistry»). Judge Dzmitry Karsiuk found the journalist guilty of gross violation of public order (Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus). Tsehla was detained on April 6, 2023. She was held in custody until the trial.
