The police detained the journalist while she was covering a protest rally. She was taken to the police department, charged with participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus), and held in the detention center until the trial. On November 30, the court found Yana Trusilo guilty on the basis of the police report and arrested her for 13 days.
