The police detained the journalist near a shopping centre – on that day, the city witnessed another Sunday protest march against the presidential election results. Yan Auseyushkin was taken to the police department, where he was accused of participating in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and held in the detention centre for three days until the trial. On November 11, the court found him guilty based on the police report and arrested him for 15 days.
