In Sochi, law enforcement officers detained blogger Yakov Samorukov, a participant in protests in support of Alexey Navalny, on the beach. He was held for the night at the Lazarevsky District police station. The court arrested him for a day, after which Samorukov was released. The activist's mother claims that she saw bloody handcuff marks on the activist, saw him being beaten, and that there were signs of beatings on him.
