Yahor Kamarouski was detained by law enforcers in the evening in Minsk, he was accused of administrative hooliganism and sent to the detention centre until the trial. On September 29, the court found the journalist guilty on the basis of the police report and arrested him for 14 days. On October 1 — when Kamarouski was serving his arrest on Akrestsina — his flat was searched. According to the journalist’s father, the search warrant contained the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus: «Intentional destruction or damage of other people’s property» (Article 218) and «Act of terrorism» (Article 289). However, neither suspicion nor criminal charges were brought against Yahor, his father said. As a result of the search, the law enforcers confiscated a laptop, video cameras, recording devices, and memory cards, as well as the identity card of a freelance employee of Deutsche Welle.
