The journalist was detained by traffic police and police officers who asked him to follow them to the police station. They searched the car and said that they would check the VIN of the car and therefore confiscate it from the journalist for an indefinite period of time. They also drew a report on him for participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was released five hours after the detention.
