Volodymyr Myronyuk (pseudonym — WM Blood) was at the front as a freelance photographer. His photos showed the reality of events on the front line. These pictures were published by foreign as well as Ukrainian national and regional media. On the day of his death, Myronyuk was shooting a photo report on the frontline positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Kurdyumivka. During this, Russian drones managed to make several drops on Ukrainian military positions. As a result of the attack, Myronyuk was fatally wounded and died with the camera in his hands.
