On July 15, 2021, the Sevastopol-based media Notes published misleading information about the trial of Vladislav Yesipenko. The report said that he was «accused of collecting information for the Ukrainian special services», and Esipenko himself was called «an informant for the Ukrainian special services». In fact, the journalist is accused of illegal storage (Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and alteration (Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) of ammunition. Vladislav Yesipenko himself, who was a freelancer and collaborated with Crimea. Realities, claims that the grenade was planted in his car by Federal Security Service officers during the search.
