The Lublinsky Court of Moscow sentenced the founder of the Police Ombudsman project, Vladimir Vorontsov, to 5 years in prison. He was found guilty of extortion on a large scale (Part 2 of Article 163), distribution of pornography by a group of people (Part 3 of Article 242), and insulting a representative of authority (Article 319). The court acquitted Vorontsov of 9 episodes out of 14. He was found guilty, in particular, of extorting RUB 300,000 from former Moscow police officer Rasim Kurbanov for non-dissemination of his photos of intimate nature, and of insulting in the Police Ombudsman group a commissioner of the Department of Internal Security Sergey Kobelev. Former Moscow police officer Irina Andina and two other people who had tried to expose the fabricated case against Vorontsov were put under arrest on the case of deliberate false denunciation (Part 2 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code). Andina infiltrated the Interior Ministry's own security department and played the victim.
