Novosibirsk Department of Investigative Committee is conducting a check-up regarding Vorontsov under Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (insulting a representative of the authorities). The victim is the former head of Novosibirsk precinct police officers Elena Ustinova, fired for orders to massively fine citizens for quarantine violations. Her voice messages to her subordinates were published in the Police Ombudsman group in late April. Vorontsov has been held in the pre-trial detention center since May 2020, with at least 14 criminal cases opened against him.
