A court in Taganrog has fined Meduza journalist Vladimir Sevrinovsky RUB 2,000 for refusing to unlock his phone at the request of police officers. The journalist was detained near the Veselo-Voznesenka checkpoint in Rostov Region on the border with Ukraine when he was helping refugees from Mariupol. Sevrinovsky was left for a night at the police station. Sevrinovsky does not say what article he was charged with, but apparently it was an article on disobedience to the demands of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation).
