The First Western District Military Court is hearing a criminal case against Andrey Kripushin, a resident of St Petersburg, and Vladimir Mikheev, from Chelyabinsk, on charges of inciting terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). Both are administrators of the Telegram channel "Ovod". According to investigators, in 2022 they reposted four publications in the channel’s chat that allegedly contained calls for terrorism. Kripushin and Mikheev were detained in January 2024. Mikheev remains in custody, while Kripushin has been placed under restrictions on certain activities. Kripushin and Mikheev were detained in January 2024 in different cities and taken to Moscow. Mikheev was placed in a pre-trial detention centre, while a more lenient preventive measure was imposed on Kripushin due to his state of health. He is currently subject to restrictions on certain activities. On 23 April 2025, Mikheev was handed a verdict; the details are unknown.
