On February 24, a series of individual pickets against Russia’s «special military operation» in Ukraine was held in Yekaterinburg. On February 26, the author of the humorous magazine Krasnaya Burda Vladimir Maurin was detained and charged with participation in an unauthorized rally (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). After the report was drawn up, Maurin was released home. On May 27, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Yekaterinburg found Vladimir guilty of violating the rules of participation in a public event and fined him RUB 20,000.
