Police officers detained Vladimir Laptsevich while he was covering a protest march in the centre of Mogilev. He was taken to the local police department where an administrative report on the violation of the law on mass events was drawn on him. He spent almost three days in the detention centre awaiting the trial. On September 30, a judge of the Leninsky District Court found the journalist guilty and arrested him for 13 days.
