On August 26, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow ruled that the criminal case against politician Vladimir Kara-Murza regarding «fakes» about the Russian army was legal. Since April 22, Kara-Murza was detained on charges of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army, motivated by political hatred (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case was initiated because of the politician’s speech at the Arizona House of Representatives. On August 9, the court extended the arrest until October 12, 2022.
