A Magistrates’ Court in Moscow fined Echo of Moscow 200,000 rubles, and the editor-in-chief of the site Vitaly Ruvinsky 60,000 rubles, for spreading fake information under Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Criminal Code. The reason was a speech by the political scientist Valery Solovyov on the programme "Osoboye Mnenie", where he gave his own estimate of the number of coronavirus deaths. In March, at the request of Roskomnadzor, this interview was removed from the Echo of Moscow website.
