Barnaul-based activist Viktor Rau left Russia because of political persecution. On his Facebook page, he wrote: «Due to the fact that criminal cases were opened against me and my grandson Miron was placed on the police register because of my opposition activities, I made a difficult decision and migrated with Miron [Viktor Rau’s grandson] from Russia to protect him from the abuse by the authorities».
