Journalist Viktor Muchnik was charged in Tomsk with participating in the activities of an "undesirable" organisation. Another administrative case was opened against Muchnik for distribution of unlabelled materials from a “foreign agent.” In November 2024, the Ministry of Justice recognised the publication Govorit NeMoskva, headed by Viktor Muchnik, as a “foreign agent.” Viktor Muchnik is the former editor-in-chief of the independent Tomsk TV channel TV2, which announced it was ceasing operations after its website was blocked in March 2022.
