The Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced in absentia the founder of the magazine Sobaka.ru and blogger Veronika Belotserkovskaya to nine years of general regime colony. She was accused of two episodes of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army on the grounds of political hatred (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for anti-war posts on Instagram. Belotserkovskaya was also banned from running social networks and websites for five years after serving her sentence. Belotserkovskaya lives in France.
