One of the first criminal cases under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (distribution of fakes about the army) was initiated against Belotserkovskaya. According to the investigation, her Instagram posts contained «deliberately false information about the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation to destroy cities and civilians in Ukraine». Belotserkovskaya lives in France, it is planned to put her on the international wanted list. She is charged with Paragraph E of Part 2 of the new article — that is, the investigation believes that she had «motives of political hatred or enmity». This charge provides for 5 to 10 years in prison.
