The Sverdlovsk-based media Vecherniye Vedomosti was fined RUB 200,000 for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. «A fine of RUB 200,000 has been imposed», — the press service of the Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg reported. The media was tried under an article implying punishment for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. Vecherniye Vedomosti was found to have 54 such violations.
