On July 9, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan blocked access to the Internet publication Durakchi.press, which was created by Uzbek journalist and political émigré Vasiliy Markov, currently living in France. The site parodied the stilted slogans and often false content of Uzbekistan's state media. Now when an attempt is made to access the site, a notice appears that access to the web site is limited on the basis of the relevant decree by the Cabinet of Ministers.
