Valery Nechay, former editor-in-chief of Echo of St. Petersburg, has been charged with participation in the activities of an «undesirable» NGO (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) for reposting Meduza material. The case was initiated after the Admiralteysky District Prosecutor’s Office received a letter from the city prosecutor’s office with materials from an inspection of the distribution of information materials by Meduza’s legal entity.
