The Syktyvdinsky District Court of Komi fined the editor of Komi Daily Valera Ilyinov RUB 30,000 under the article on «discrediting» the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The reason was the statement of the editorial board «for the nine-year anniversary of Russia’s war against Ukraine», dated February 24, 2023. On May 24, 2024, Ilyinov was fined RUB 10,000 under a report on «incitement of hatred or enmity towards Russians» (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation).
