Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg fined Valentina Kogut, the video blogger calling herself an «esoteric investigator», RUB 60,000 on two reports for «discrediting» the army. Kogut was was fined a minimum of RUB 30,00 under each report — her disability and first-time offense were taken into account as mitigating circumstances. The court was given a letter from the head of the Sverdlovsk Department of the Federal Security Service about Kogut’s «destructive activities». The reason for the prosecution was the videos made in the spring, in which Kogut condemned the Russian president’s decision to militarily invade Ukraine. The law enforcement officers came to her home to draw up a report and turned off the electricity in her apartment.
