29th of January - the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan announced via Telegram that he intends to bring a lawsuit against various media outlets. The first of these is the daily paper 'Zhogovurd', which published material claiming that the Speaker of the NA expressed the opinion that the collapse of Russia would create good opportunities for Armenia, while in conversation with a high-ranking parliamentary delegation from various Scandinavian and Baltic countries. Simonyan responded that if Zhogovurd deletes the material within the next working day and publish a refutation, then he will refrain from bringing the case to court. The second lawsuit, according to the chairman of Parliament, will be brought against Vahe Makaryan, a correspondent for news site 'Mediahub.am', who 'yet again tried to publish his delusions, using false information claiming that Pashinyan sharply criticized Simonyan due to Russian pressure'.
