The Pukhavichy District Court of the Minsk Region has recognised the Instagram account named “ermakdimati” (identifier instagram.com/ermakdimati?igsh=MTV3ZmJqNzZkdHNuNg==) as extremist information content. The page belongs to former political prisoner Vadzim Ermashuk, a blogger from Hrodna known as Vadimati. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the online resource to the national list of extremist materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entails administrative liability for both publishers and users.
