The security forces detained the journalist when he was covering a protest in the city centre. He was taken to the local police station, where two administrative reports were drawn up to him: for alleged disobedience to the demands of the police and participation in an unauthorized event. He was kept in the pre-trial detention centre for two days awaiting the trial. On 19 October, the court found him guilty and arrested for 15 days.
